This item includes a brochure and a letter, both of which outline the goals and methods of the Poor Peoples Corporation and solicits donations via "Freedom Bonds." The Poor People's Campaign included a caravan from Mississippi to Washington D.C. as well as an encampment in Washington D.C.
The Civil Rights Digital Library received support from a National Leadership Grant for Libraries awarded to the University of Georgia by the Institute of Museum and Library Services for the aggregation and enhancement of partner metadata.
