On the nights of September 9th and 11th in 1966, riots took place on Boulevard in Atlanta, Georgia. The riots on Boulevard started over the shooting of a young African American man, and the following Monday over the arrest of Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee leader Stokely Carmichael.
