The FBI investigated the Ku Klux Klan during 1964 and 1965 for possible violations of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and other criminal activities.

The Civil Rights Digital Library received support from a National Leadership Grant for Libraries awarded to the University of Georgia by the Institute of Museum and Library Services for the aggregation and enhancement of partner metadata.
