Entry on the organization the Arkansas Council on Human Relations (ACHR), founded in 1954 in the reorganization of the Arkansas branch of the Southern Regional Council. The ACHR was a major contributor to desegregation of public schools and businesses in Arkansas.

The Civil Rights Digital Library received support from a National Leadership Grant for Libraries awarded to the University of Georgia by the Institute of Museum and Library Services for the aggregation and enhancement of partner metadata.
