Black-and-white photograph from a June 23, 1958 meeting between President Dwight D. Eisenhower and members of his administration and African American civil rights leaders. African American civil rights leaders had sought the meeting with President Eisenhower and his administration in order to encourage support of the civil rights movement.
The Civil Rights Digital Library received support from a National Leadership Grant for Libraries awarded to the University of Georgia by the Institute of Museum and Library Services for the aggregation and enhancement of partner metadata.
