|Title:||Picketers outside of the Penn Sheraton Hotel protesting Alabama Governor George Wallace's visit to Pittsburgh|
Some of the protesters wear sashes reading "Allegheny [Co.?] NAACP," some carry illegible banners, and at least one has a sandwich board reading "Down with Racism NAACP." The hotel marquee advertises the Steve Gibson Riverboat Room.
The Civil Rights Digital Library received support from a National Leadership Grant for Libraries awarded to the University of Georgia by the Institute of Museum and Library Services for the aggregation and enhancement of partner metadata.
